 Dear Governor Granholm: 

The Ann Arbor Area Chamber of Commerce is in full support of your budget proposal to fully fund fire protection activities that local municipalities provide for state-owned buildings.

The Ann Arbor Area Chamber of Commerce has actively lobbied for full funding for fire protection since 1998. The City of Ann Arbor fire department protects the state owned property, including the University of Michigan, within city limits.  The City of Ann Arbor and municipalities like it should receive full funding for this service. 

The Ann Arbor Area Chamber of Commerce urges your support of full fire protection funding.
