Less than 25% of the charities evaluated by Charity Navigator receive their highest 4-star rating, and only 18% earn a second consecutive 4-star rating, which indicates that HSHV consistently executes its mission in a fiscally responsible way, and outperforms most other charities in America. In addition, HSHV is one of only 33 organizations in Michigan with a 4-star rating.
“This exceptional designation from Charity Navigator differentiates HSHV from its peers and demonstrates to the public and our valued donors that we are worthy of their trust,” said HSHV Executive Director, Tanya Hilgendorf. “We are proud that our renewed focus on our management has been so successful.”
HSHV is an independent 501(c)(3) non-profit organization serving all of Washtenaw County and relies solely on donations from businesses and individuals in our community.
